Work packages
WP1 will help develop the key stories that ResponSEAble will focus on by examining the human-ocean relationship and what are the primary activities that are occurring today that could benefit from having an increased amount of ocean literacy around them.
WP2 will be analysing the ocean economy, value chains and the actors of the value chains including final consumers, identifying the who has the room for maneuvre to change behavior.
WP3 will describe the existing structure of information mechanisms of ocean literacy activities in Europe. It will analyse what knowledge is disseminated and shared between societal stakeholders, and assess their current understanding, perception, and values. WP3 will analyse current ocean literacy activities, and identify «pre-conditions» for raising awareness, and changing behaviour.
WP4 develops recommendations for the development of ocean literacy and awareness raising strategies that can support cost-effectively changes in behavior from the main stakeholders of the ocean value chain.
The main goal of WP5 is to embody the outputs and strategies produced by work packages 1-4 into education and communication tools which can be used to deliver on those strategies.
WP6 will deal with the dissemination of the strategic ocean literacy recommendations, communication materials and products to the potential end-users of these outputs. Specific dissemination and demonstration activities adapted to each multipliers of the products end-user category (e.g. government services, media, museum, teachers, etc.) will be developed and implemented, including via social media and relevant internet-based platforms.
This transversal WP is involved in the the effective implementation of the project activities and the best use of all (human and financial) resources allocated.
